# Manage the pipeline

Use the early investor calls to improve the founder’s pitch, then increase the quality and pace of meetings while keeping every investor and next action organized.

<Info>
  Treat the first ten investor calls as practice. Learn from them before approaching the founder’s strongest investor opportunities.

    ### Sequencing protects the best opportunities

    Once the first calls begin, the order of meetings matters.

    The first ten calls are best treated as practice with relevant investors who are not the founder’s strongest financing prospects. This gives the founder time to calibrate the pitch and correct weak points without burning the best leads.

    After each call, the Metal desktop application gives resellers access to the call replay. The reseller can review the conversation, discuss it with the in-app agent, and decide what should change before the next meeting.

      Cold email can work, but its return on time is usually poor. It becomes more efficient in outlier cases, such as a company reaching \$10M+ ARR in under 12 months.
